Senate Democrats absolutely have to shut the govt down to stop this ICE insanity in the Twin Cities. This is not sustainable & cannot be normalized. When we say "explicitly neo-Nazi" we mean channels that fly swastikas and praise Hitler. That's the zone of internet where DHS is apparently finding inspiration for their X posts. It's ultra unlikely they would have ever encountered that song if they weren't in that space, imo.
Our researchers found at least 450 posts on Telegram dating back to 2020 that shared the song mentioned in this reporting.
Nearly all the posts we found were from explicitly neo-Nazi and white supremacist channels. And a review of our datasets found it hasn't circulated much outside those circles.

I really want people to understand that CBP is arguably as bad or worse than ICE.
CBP was engaged in horrible behavior back when ICE was mostly doing custody transfers.
Over-fixating on ICE doesn’t solve it.

I think a lot about how sane, well-adjusted people have no interest in controlling others. Yes, there’s anger @ injustice & economics & more. But I also think there’s anger for “bitch, I have no interest in politics but you’re forcing me to put aside my wants to wrest back control from fascists.”
