Premier Danielle Smith’s UCP motto is “corporatize profits, socialize losses”.

For every critical public service, like HC & educ, UCP’s 2nd motto is “Defund, Criticize,Privatize”.

UCP corruption is playing out in real time with UCP & pals filling their pockets with taxpayer💲.

Can confirm this is happening in AB, and getting worse.
Some sites have > 1/4 leaving the ED without being seen... and we have good data that show some of them are really sick and/or have NO OTHER care options.
This will get worse this fall and winter AB🧵

Albertans should be paying attention and be VERY concerned:
Govt is marching forward with privatizing all of our HC system.
Many many concerns w selling off hospitals to private for-profits:

Opinion: What's next in for-profit care in Alberta? Your local hospital?
25 years after Klein passed Bill 11, that opened the door to more private for-profit involvement in health care, the UCP is at it again.

Nothing like a dose of reality from Senator Paula
Simons! She always finds the right words.
In 2019, the last time Alberta was awash in separatist nonsense, CBC Calgary commissioned me to write this essay. I re-read it today - and it seems to me as true as ever. And I thought this weekend might be a good time to share it with you, my new Bluesky friends. #Alberta #cdnpoli #abpoli #ableg

Fellow Canadians,

There is no real appetite for separation in Alberta outside of a small percentage of right-wing crybabies who can’t stand the fact that their ideas remain unpopular. The only value in this op-ed is they are finally saying the quiet part out loud. They hate Canada. #ElbowsUp

We gotta talk
By voting CPC every election you've rendered your vote useless
No politician will pay attention to Alberta
The left could give every Albertan a million dollars each & you'd still vote CPC
& the CPC gives you NOTHING & you still vote for them

Govt is now claiming that information they learned 2 months after firing the AHS CEO justifies their decision to fire her, when they didn’t know those things…

All while they try to suppress documents that could show malfeasance.

What are we doing here Alberta?
We already barely have any food left in our EDs for those in need - EDs left with some toast and juice at the best of times
Where's the "care" in Health Care in AB?
What's next? Save on electrical bills and turn off the blanket warmers?

I’m no expert but…

Seems to me any time a government with profoundly vested interests and a history of blatant dishonesty says they want to be the sole arbiter of the truth…

That’s a lot of cause for concern.

Smith said the quiet part out loud today.

She wants only one version of the truth when it comes to environmental impacts from industry.

She wants that version of the truth to be entirely under her governments control.

With coal mines being proposed.
