It certainly was for us. I count our family incredibly lucky that our baby made it to all of her vaccinations without contracting anything dangerous
Having a newborn in a Republican-controlled state has got to be terrifying right now. And because viruses don't care about state borders it'll probably be an issue everywhere soon enough.
Subtext: This entire family *is* vaccinated, and the mom got a booster while pregnant. Their child was just 2 weeks old when she contracted whooping cough -- too young to be vaccinated.
But experts say if vax rates drop, this kind of infection becomes more common -- bc the disease is just around.

“it’s reasonable to ask questions about trans girls in sports” was always intended to mainstream transphobia.

Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov, a freshman at Brown, had a condition as a child that required brain surgery. The experience created an unshakable ambition to become a brain surgeon, his sister said.

By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. (Rand Paul probably voted nay and Steve Daines has been absent).
