Today's tune is "Shitshow" by Kid Sistr.
Sad lyrics but, a cathartic music video, and a beat you can rock out to.
Absolutely here for it, wish I could bang some drums or something

"All of this, food bloggers say, erodes the simple promise of a recipe: that someone has actually cooked it before you have."
NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.

I recently finished the audiobook for “Their Eyes Were Watching God” by Zora Neale Hurston.

A worthwhile listen, I might describe it as an insightful book full of unfortunate relationships.

Not just between man and woman, but with whole communities.

absolutely massive news from the EU's top court! while it doesn't force every EU country to perform same-sex marriages, it *does* require them to recognise same-sex marriages from other countries the same way they recognise other foreign marriages

it's a big step!

Let’s amplify LOVE instead.

I am beaming love at you. Right now.

Fuck the haters. I defy you. I am beaming extra love right into your face. Relax and be loved.

Tonight’s film is Duel (1971)
An early Spielberg flick with wonderfully managed tension.

The truck (antagonist) has a remarkable presence, even when not on screen it’s in your mind.

Some leaked (not verified) info on the puberty blocker trial linked here. In my own thread I will briefly highlight the two key measures they are prioritising. A short thread 1
A Substacker named Ben Ryan tweeted that "the long-awaited UK puberty blocker clinical trial protocol is out."

Shortly thereafter he deleted the post. I can't find a public version of the protocol but here's what I was able to salvage from the screenshot + post.
