Small thing I wanted to try ever since I saw it in a bunch of toon shaders: a depth-offset based rim lighting that responds to the light direction ✨
It's quite more stylized than just a thresholded fresnel and it can look pretty sick with cel shading👀

Looking at Lords of Shadow 2 because Ive been on a Castlevania kick recently and it's amazing how the tough cool guy game starts with time slow/stop, Then flashes shit like "Good Job!" with shimmery glowy text.
