I feel like the wellness bar with the 6 dollar "healing water" is going to go over worse in Germantown than the Asian French bakery going into the Falls.

Both places that I will frequent, but I also don't belong here, so 🤷🏻‍♂️.

This won't happen, but part of me wants to see if all of these people would apologize for their crap takes if the Brewers sign Peralta in free agency.

They absolutely would not.
Ah I've caught up to the hypocritical takes about the Peralta trade on the national podcasts. Fast forward please save me.

If you're in an area that can physically get a foot of snow and you're asking about shoveling, probably just wait a day or two for it to melt. 🫡
if you are expecting a foot of snow, do you shovel early or just wait until it's all over

How many are in a "trio" again? 🤔

The virtual "slamming the door and going home early" is far less satisfying.

My daughter named her new stuffed animal Gnorman. With a silent G of course.

I've got an idea.

Brewers have "blown their team up" nearly every year in the last decade. They have the fifth most wins in that span.

Everyone hates a successful small market team, and what those teams have to do to be successful.

Those three payroll giants at 12-14 should be embarrassed.
January 22, 2026 at 1:53 PM
Alright is the national baseball folk back to ignoring the Brewers as usual? Last night was exhausting.
January 22, 2026 at 1:33 PM
So I guess the consensus is that the Brewers should have extended Peralta instead of trading him, because trading him means they're not even a candidate to sign him as a free agent after the season?

I guess you should just always keep all of your guys, improvement be damned. Why even allow trades?
January 22, 2026 at 3:37 AM
All but one team gets beat in the playoffs every year.

Two teams made it farther than the Brewers last year, I think. That doesn't seem like a lot.

From the "industry experts" what I'm hearing is that Milwaukee being good is bad for baseball. And I guess I'm inclined to disagree.
January 22, 2026 at 3:15 AM
Having Sproat and Williams in 2027 is worse than having neither of them and also not having Peralta in 2027.
Seeing a LOT of this in the last 30 minutes.

By value charts created by people whose main goals is to surpress salaries, I'm sure the Brewers did fine. I don't think the Brewers made themselves better today or next year and that's bad. bsky.app/profile/mike...
the Brewers are the new Rays

(people fall all over themselves to praise everything they do and ignore the stuff that doesn’t work out)

Good teams not allowed to trade players either.
I feel like we give the brewers too much of a pass for being cheap just because they’re good
January 22, 2026 at 3:10 AM
Yes certainly the 9 SP options on the 40 man will need to be supplemented with Red Sox castoffs.
So is Milwaukee going to reach out to Boston for some cheap arms? How exactly do they plan on filling these rotation spots?
January 22, 2026 at 2:57 AM
I still think they trade Megill. 🤷🏻‍♂️
January 22, 2026 at 2:55 AM
I mean I knew I was going to be underwhelmed.
Jeff Passan is reporting the deal is done and it's Jett Williams/Brandon Sproat to Milwaukee. Another piece is going to the Mets.
Brewers are in advanced talks to send Freddy Peralta to the Mets, a source confirms.
January 22, 2026 at 2:49 AM
Playoff teams shouldn't be allowed to trade players.
January 22, 2026 at 2:45 AM
Or not? 😬
Brewers actually getting a third baseman? 🤔🤔🤔
January 22, 2026 at 2:37 AM
Yes, teams should be legally obligated to never trade anyone.
A revenue-sharing recipient possibly trading away an ace who costs a measly $8 million is a much bigger problem for MLB than anything the Dodgers are doing.
