Dave Roberts called it a “50-50” decision to pull Blake Snell after eight innings. Said the way Roki Sasaki had been pitching recently and the fact that Snell likely would go on regular rest in Game 5 were among the factors he was considering.

Along those lines, my slightly contrarian take is that Sasaki didn’t look all that sharp in his first outing and the second one he threw two pitches, so it’s still a valid question to wonder if his reliability was more on the Phillies pressing against him or not

Big thing for me this series is that Sasaki and Sheehan are going to have a smaller innings share out of necessity so some of the actual bullpen guys are going to have to step up
