one of the longest-active members of the games press played over an hour of Outer Wilds and didn’t know how to translate text even though a literal pop up of what button to press to translate comes up every single time you see text. Everybody misses something
You wanna know why we're having nag line discourse in 2025? Because developers know we're fighting an attention economy war we'll lose no matter what. Players don't read, have TikTok open next to them, god forbid we are scared you miss something and then blame us for not giving you all the info.

One of the foundational metroidvanias was said by its creators to not really be influenced by Metroid at all! SOTN was drawing from Zelda instead!!
Of course the Prime devs didn't understand Metroid, Nintendo doesn't understand Metroid, *Metroidvanias influenced by Metroid speficically* don't understand Metroid, Metroid fans don't understand Metroid!

The video they had today for Prime 4 showed a bunch of different soldiers at various points so I’m pretty sure this guy everyone already decided will ruin the entire game isn’t there the whole time.

When a major story beat in Ghost of Yotei was labeled "The Cost of Revenge," I felt relief because I am glad a Playstation game is finally covering this topic. I hope we can get some answers re: revenge, and whether it is a bad thing, and maybe even causes a cycle of violence
