I want to stress here for journalists covering Kennedy and his goons that this war on public health is driven by big money.

The wellness industry is a massive, massive grift.
Mr. Kennedy said it’s an individual choice as to whether or not to vaccinate.

Then he and his minions started taking that choice away by making FDA approval of some vaccines impossible.

He is just generally an alt-right, unrepentantly racist and transphobic piece of shit. He is also a genuinely bad comedian, much in the way that thin-skinned assholes often are 🤷‍♀️

The tech industry is hastening this problem in multiple ways: data centres gobble up water, and the fossil fuel plants necessary to power them exacerbate climate change.
'Vast swathes of Europe’s water reserves are drying up, a new analysis using two decades of satellite data reveals, with freshwater storage shrinking across southern and central Europe, from Spain and Italy to Poland and parts of the UK.'
Revealed: Europe’s water reserves drying up due to climate breakdown

One of the longest air attacks on Kyiv: it began at 11pm & until 9:30am russia kept launching Kinzhals, cruise, ballistics & drones at us.

By obsessing over how to protect genocidal aggressor's bloody money instead of the victim's survival, Belgium is doing Europe a very dangerous disservice.

People who become willfully obtuse when the concept of "requiring ID to do anything online is a problem" are infuriating.

Yes, if you require everyone to provide an ID, the open Internet is done.

Also, just a reminder that people forget unless it's election season, lots of people don't have ID.

Also forgot to mention... Pluribus

I guess because it's a given, or because it's mid-season (as opposed to the others which have been out awhile, and I binge'd straight thru)
Finally found some good new-to-me shows...

Adolescence
Alien: Earth

Both completely blew me away

Also heard some good things about Legion and True Detective S04, next...
Gave up on The Bear at the end of S01, just couldn't suspend disbelief on the penultimate episode

Maybe it's better in later seasons because I can't believe it won Emmys...

Watching Murderbot now and it's good

Also rewatching Andor S01 after completing S02, right up there with the best shows ever
