Series that wouldn’t have happened in the Nordics (plot would have no real life basis):

- Squid Game: no one gets into such debt for such reasons
- White Lotus (1st episode): no small talk with strangers so half of the interactions wouldn’t take place

When working with futures and foresight, I'm rather often asked what it exactly is that I do.

The answer is sometimes vague, but that's because tasks are indeed pretty varied.

My day today started with meeting a student, I'm supervising for his Master's thesis on Chinese EV manufacturing in 2035.

Sådan forestillede "de visionære" sig søerne i København omdannet til brutalistisk stenørken-helvede ca.1960. Skrottede planer er ofte de bedste.

Egon havde forklaret off-side-reglen mindst 100 gange for Henriette. Og så pludselig en dag faldt ti-øren. Egon smilede stolt.

"Hvordan er det så med det dér hands?"

Egon gik over på værkstedet og fandt Fernet Branca'en frem.

I'm reading the World Bank's 2024 International Debt Report, and what a blunt way to kick-off such a document! Not long ago, so many people in development policy circles were indeed repeating the "from billions to trillions" phrase as a silver bullet for development financing and global development.

It's a remarkable trajectory, since Paris in 2015, but especially since Copenhagen in 2009.

The US and increasingly Europe have washed their hands of a catastrophe of their own making.

And the Rest is solving it for themselves with investment and tech from China.

(Han scorede også mod Silkeborg, men dem har #ksdh foreløbigt kun mødt hjemme.)
