I work for a Minneapolis-based firm. MPLS was and is under attack by the federal government. Hundreds of people are being snatched off the streets. Undocumented immigrants, DACA recipients, asylees, asylum seekers, refugees, lawful permanent residents, citizens.

When they say they want to bring back coal, what they mean is, they want:
* An uneducated labor force
* Living in company towns
* Working for company scrip
* Enriching only the shareholders, while
* Dying of preventable diseases
* And little to no upward mobility for workers or their children.
straight up lies, lie after lie, this is insane.
Burgum: "CO2 was never a pollutant. When we breathe, we emit CO2. Plants need CO2 to survive and grow. They thrive with more CO2. So the whole endangerment thing opens up an opportunity for the revival of clean, beautiful, American coal."

If you want to fight back against the unethical and horrifying use of novel technology, then you *really* need to become an expert on how those technologies work. That is exactly what I've done with drones.

When a sitting representative refers to the Super Bowl halftime show as “pornography,” people should use that to reflect on how they and other representatives are simultaneously working to ban, censor, and restrict “pornography” and what that actually means

My grandparents, staunch Republicans in West LA, saw local Japanese-owned businesses disappear, were furious about it for decades: “They lost everything.”

Seeing people’s lives dismantled has a power well beyond talk of abstractions like rights and due process, to low-engagement voters.

ICE is currently holding around 80,000 detainees. Nazi Germany didn't reach this number in its formal camp system until 1942, nine years after seizing power and three years into the war.

If reading these letters doesn’t fill you with a deep and urgent need to burn these concentration camps to the ground after releasing their prisoners, you would’ve been on the wrong side in WWII.
1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.

Hundreds of kids are still detained.

We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧵

SCOOP: The Department of Health and Human Services has been using the term “sex-rejecting procedures” to describe gender-affirming care for transgender and nonbinary individuals.

The term is not clinical or medical. It comes from a Christian Right group.

Like sorry but it is, first and foremost, up to parents to keep their children safe. The fact that instead grown adults cannot access their Bluesky DMs with other grown adults, without giving away private info, is fucking absurd. Parent your offspring and leave the rest of us out of it, OK.

Nobody has the right to murder on the basis of a suspicion. Even actual confirmed criminals are entitled to due process in a court of law, which will never culminate in a summary execution.

These ongoing murders cannot be normalized any longer.

To clarify: this isn’t a program run by Delta. They may not even know it’s happening. You fill out the form offering to donate miles. Someone in need fills out their own form, and a volunteer contacts you. You book the ticket yourself for the person in need.
DID YOU KNOW?

If you have Delta Sky Miles, you can donate them to help a kidnapped-and-released person fly home!

They are set free on the streets of El Paso or another Texas town with no phone, no money, nothing at all. Your miles can get them back to their loved ones!
