I know there’s so much going on, but this WB/Netflix news is hitting me hard. The company that made Casablanca is gonna be owned by goons who have an allergy to streaming anything made before 2005 and who’d sooner die before they call it a movie instead of “content.”
the issue here, especially with TCM, is more than half of its programming came from the Turner, and later WB, library. If you remove the network from the library, how is it going to afford to license 100% of its programming?
I just heard from someone at Netflix. TCM is apparently going with the other linear networks to Discovery Global.

My most alienating Oscar opinion of the year is that Wicked pt deux is not a sequel but the simultaneously shot second half of one movie and that therefore it'd be weird to renominate the two stars. This isn't the Emmys; you don't get rewarded for the same role year after year. Will delete shortly.
