Dear blu-ray boutiques, I am available for audio commentaries and essays on your mystery films, and I am a much better writer than Olivia Nuzzi, who apparently can get a whole-ass book published. DMs open!

For CLUE's 40th anniversary, Jeff Conway sat down with Lesley Ann Warren and Colleen Camp and the result was a lot of fun!

What does it say about this country that that the kind of open, rank bigotry Trump administration officials regularly express towards black immigrants apparently has no social cost because of the number of Americans who quietly agree or don't care.

My scorching hottest take is that Tarantino has become boring. His films feel the same, like he’s desperate to be hip and cool. He’s undeniably talented, but it feels squandered. Anyway, nothing enrages film bros more than saying this, but I’m feeling pretty good about it right now.

I'm forever fascinated by Avatar discourse. People clearly like them! They make a bajillion dollars. Then they vanish for years at a time before...Bam! Avatar time again! But is anyone like, "Time for my annual Avatar rewatch!"? They don't seem to embed in the culture at all. Or I'm just old, IDK.

HBOMax has started showing a 'remastered' 4K Mad Men and they’ve messed things up so during Roger’s oyster vomit scene you can now see the crew men with the vomit hose on the right

Struck by Lightning! Jeffrey Kramer, of Jaws and Clue fame, inherits an inn with Jack Elam as the caretaker, who turns out to be Frankenstein's monster. His name? Frank. Kramer's character? Ted Stein. You can't buy that kind of quality today!

Also don’t miss Garner in Marlowe, an adaptation of Chandler’s The Little Sister that’s better than it gets credit for and has a marvelous cast.
highly recommend Rockford Files, I loved the reruns as a kid and imho it holds up. a real fun, modern-feeling P.I. show - impossible not to see Jim Rockford in the DNA of lots of private eyes who followed, from Magnum P.I. to The Nice Guys (even Martin Riggs's trailer is a little Rockford nod)
I’ve been thinking about trying out Rockford Files for years. As a kid I blew off the reruns as a cheesy 70s cop/PI show because that’s what all adult tv seemed like to me. Also hasn’t been easy to find on streaming until recently.

NEW: The F.D.A. announced in an internal memo that 10 children died "because of" the Covid shot. Other experts want to see proof.

“This is a profound revelation,” Dr. Prasad's memo said. “For the first time, the U.S. F.D.A. will acknowledge that Covid-19 vaccines have killed American children.”

The New Deal wasn’t built on a promise that there would be “no ceiling” for the richest Americans.

Quite the opposite, in fact. FDR knew its politics could only work if he singled out the rich as villains and knew that its policies could only work if the rich paid their fair share in taxes.

It's like the "in this diner in West Virginia, they're sticking by Trump" phenomenon. We never, ever see stories about New York baristas who are voting for Harris. They're fascinated by shitty people and bored by the rest of us.
our media is so obsessed with the five famous assholes who unapologetically fucked up instead of all the people who didn't

what about everyone who doesn't "need" a second chance because they didn't expose themselves or assault anyone or move a former student into their house right after graduation?
