You cannot overstate how startling it is to see a politician just say the thing with clarity and poise. No fearful hemming. No overwrought qualifying down til it’s meaningless. No lingering sense that there is a loyalty to a donor class or an ideology of stasis that they’d never admit to.

If you want to find people already doing these things so you can plug in just start showing up at food pantries and other mutuals aid places and see what they need.
If you want your city to be prepared for ICE, you need to organize like MSP did between 2020 & today.
You need groups to coordinate signal chats so that 20-50 rapid responders can descend on ICE in less than 10 mins
You need groups ready to do mutual aid for people who can't leave their homes
