she went to state legislators, TPUSA and conservative media outlets within a few hours of getting her grade, if you can’t identify the bad faith that can be seen from space, you need to get your eyes checked
a lot of people debating the merits of that dogshit essay meanwhile the girl’s mom is retweeting demands to ban all trans people from teaching at any level. it’s forest for the trees shit

I'm a trans person working at a state university and this news out of Oklahoma is why I do not feel safe being out at work (even though that's kind of a moot point since if you Google my name my activism is all that comes up)

What's the point of it snowing if I still have to go to work 😡

As you’re preparing for your Thanksgiving meal, remember the skilled work it took to get that food to your grocery store.

Tell us your favorite Thanksgiving dish, and we can share some of what we know about the work behind the ingredients.

"a single person of this demographic may have committed a crime, therefore we must punish the entire demographic" is a policy response you may recognize from fascist governments dedicated to ethnic cleansing elsewhere.
It didn’t even take 6 hours.

One of the worst parts of only being in contact with chosen family is that none of my shirts are controversial enough to get in a fight about at the Thanksgiving table anymore

1/ THREAD: This year ICE has sent a record 600 immigrant kids into federal shelters, more than in the previous four years combined. Data suggests some are being separated from their families.

For one 15-year-old, it began with a cracked windshield 👇

My last point of the year of the year on #tdor: I wish I could do this over and over and over again.

I could not imagine being in a tomb with my deadname on it and buried in a dress. I wish there was justice in the world.

Sorry for TDoR posting on the day after TDoR but I was so focused on making the vigil come together that I didn't even have the time and energy to post. And I need to get it all off my chest somehow

Also for TDOR I want to remember Henry Berg-Brousseau, a young man I got to work with at the Fairness Campaign. He testified against a bathroom ban in 2015, when he was still in high school. He was forced to use the wrong bathroom and bullied because of it.

This year for TDOR was my first one organizing an event. I designed a brochure and included names and brief descriptions for everyone on the list in the US so I read every person's story and I mourn every single one of them.

We also lost a sister from Louisville this year. I don't have as much information on her, especially beyond what is already online.
She died when she was hit by a car on her bike at a neighborhood intersection.

Kentucky lost a sister from Mayfield (western KY) this year.

Hope Youngblood was an advocate for the LGBTQ community and a filmmaker who moved to LA slightly before her death to pursue her dreams of filmmaking.

This year we lost one of our siblings from Lexington. Arty Gibson was a young trans man from Lexington. He liked Pokemon and anime and was loved by his community. He and his financee Juli moved to Portland shortly before he took his life in June.

This is the hardest I have seen any member of Congress work to try and address transphobia in Congress, and her ability to get nearly all Democratic lawmakers to sign onto this letter is something any first would applaud

Rep. Nancy Mace's "tra**y, tra**y, tra**y!" tirade is just one example.

Writing little tiny bios for each person for TDOR and am really fucked up about it.

How do I sum up an entire life in a few phrases?

An analysis of news pieces about Trump’s anti-trans decrees found that “70 percent did not include a quote from a single trans person. Instead, journalists turned to cisgender sources — mostly government officials — to speak about trans people, their lives, and how they would be affected.”
