Data centers are important for many reasons BUT consumers should NOT have to pay higher bills to facilitate the huge amounts of electricity they eat up.
The richest companies on the planet are building these centers and they should bear the costs — not you.

America has a major nursing workforce shortage. We need hundreds of thousands more.

There is no way to achieve "deep, rapid and sustained reductions in global greenhouse gas emissions" without a rapid transition away from fossil fuel burning. The international scientific assessments are very clear on this point. One could view a focus on other sources as intentional deflection.

Instead of subsidizing farmers for biofuels why don’t we subsidize some wind turbines & solar panels mixed in with corn and soybeans for food? Much more efficient & much healthier
~40% of all US corn and soy production goes to making liquid biofuels, which supply a whopping ~6% of all transportation fuels.
