Not strictly a fess, but this is the only acceptable way to answer a phone on public transport
Someone on the train has just answered a call with "Sorry, I can't speak, I'm on a train". For a moment I thought the carriage was going to break into applause for them.

Wow. I mean it's ever hard to underline yet another messed-up thing Trump says, but seriously. Wow.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

He was definitely influential when I was growing up. But in the last few years him opening his mouth mostly resulted in absolutely useless or actively damaging nonsense, especially in the international realm.
So this is sadly unsurprising.
"[Epstein] had several ideas about who could appear on it and provide favorable testimonies [...]

'Spoke to Chomsky, he’s all in,' Epstein wrote in a text message to an undisclosed associate."
Epstein turned to academic Chomsky, others to rehab image after Herald investigation
Other potential people Epstein considered included deceased Nobel Prize-winning scientist James Watson and Norwegian diplomat Terje Rød-Larsen.

Cory Doctorow is just in a league of his own. How lucky we have to how voice and expertise out there. To think that losers like Kara Swisher are pretending to be tech critics. Pathetic. Do it like Doctorow!

A rather misleading headline as fret not, my friends, Copenhagen is going even more left, basically! 🥰
"Polling has the Green Left, the Red-Green Alliance and Alternativet in a position to form a left-leaning majority without the support of the Social Democrats."

the most disgustingly overpaid lib consultants you've ever heard of are all licking their lips, salivating on bringing this kind of agenda to the united states. and, well, lol

'Tis the season! Choice of Gløgg - Danish version of mulled wine - has become plentiful in Copenhagen over the last few weeks. 🍷🕯️

So I've been rating them! 🧵

Wild statistic. The net worth held by the top 0.1% of households is $23.3 trillion. The amount held by the bottom 50% is $4.2 trillion.

Haha funny to see this on the timeline whilst I'm literally currently sat in the building in the 1st picture. :)
I wrote my book at my local library (not in the picture), did my launch parties at the British Library and the said local library so yes - huge love to libraries, Danish or not. 💛
@eu2025dk.bsky.social is underway and we’re shining a spotlight on Denmark's long-standing reputation for great libraries 📚

Denmark’s libraries aren’t just about books, but also about culture, community, and innovation 💡

Dk what's more fun - Starmer being ousted by an even slimier version of himself, or the prospect of Labour being tanked so hard under Streeting that it's only a win for the Greens. Streeting is absolutely the natural conclusion of a neocon Labour.

Man there was every opportunity for Eminem to just be a vile wasteman, and he's just like, good. Actually good. Seeing how many of the Y2K stars did end up right-wing, fame-thirsty, otherwise nasty or dead it's straight-up impressive.
Eminem on Trump and Trump Supporters….

Nailed it.

And this, my friends, is why the left never trusts Liberals.
They're forever the polite face of the right.
I think the American right is in fact correct about several things and it would be wise to concede that.

A very strange duality about being an Eastern European leftie -
Going to sleep praying hoping Mamdani will win. ❤️ But also know that many of the city's self-prescribed left-wingers not only couldn't care less about my region, but actually side with reactionary pro-Imperialist forces here. Oh well.
