A trombone is a great choice too. As a teacher said, the first note you'll play is the hardest (but far from impossible, as long as you pick up a trombone!). I was in my late 60's!
I'm old.

If you're not, listen to this.

Get a guitar or some drums, or a trumpet. Pick up a brush, a pencil, some clay or a welder.

Just make shit. It doesn't have to be good (eventually it will be) just make music, art or write or whatever.

It's literally never been more important.

Calling my wife "my wife" makes them the happiest person in the world, so I do it even if they can't hear me and don't know. I love them so much it makes me happy when I say it to.
my boyfriend started calling me his boyfriend at work and it kind of feels like someone lifted an enormous boulder off my entire body and i can suddenly move. coming out as trans and living it is an extremely intense experience and there's a lot of pain and also so much joy it almost hurts too

If telling the troops not to follow illegal orders is “sedition,” what do we call colluding with the Kremlin to manipulate the U.S. President into advancing Russian interests over America’s?

I am too tired to start ghostwriting a fake old white dude account just to get people listening.

It's 2025. You guys can Quote-post your biggest political enemies saying
"I don't usually agree with this guy, but he has a point here"

Why can't you do the same for us?

The world has wonders.

China has the Great Wall.

India has the Taj Mahal.

Italy has the Colosseum.

And us? We got this.

Attended a wonderful concert at Boston Symphony Hall last night 11/20. BSO Assistant Conductor Anna Handler stepped in last minute - her Symphony Hall debut.
And what a debut!!!
The opening piece by Grace-Evangeline Mason is a beautiful, airy, often mysterious forest walk.
The magic continued...

“Space, is big. Really big”
Douglas Adams
This is part of our universe.

An area of sky about the size of a grain of sand held at arm's length.

The spiked features are stars in the Milky Way.

EVERYTHING ELSE IS A GALAXY.

Today is Trans Day of Remembrance

No one should be attacked or killed for who they are. We should all work to create a world that is safe for everyone to express themselves and their identity whatever it maybe.

Mourn the dead and flight like hell for the living.

When survivors demand accountability for Epstein, they’re also calling out a system that treats women as disposable and strips away our freedoms by design.

Cheers to all the submissive men too, you are valid and wonderful.
Today is International Men’s Day. So here’s to refugee men fleeing abuse, trans men denied healthcare, queer men bullied for being different, Black men racially profiled, disabled men excluded from work, and all the other men who fail at being “real men.” May we continue to cultivate our humanity.

It seems worth noting that the things Summers admitted to doing in an email dialogue with a famous sex criminal is considerably worse than anything Gay was accused of when it was the single top priority of both Summers and the New York Times to get her fired

Chicago’s response “has tapped established activists and everyday residents…
They say their efforts — community patrols, rapid responders, school escorts, vendor buyouts, honking horns and blowing whistles — are a uniquely Chicago response that other cities… want to model.“
