I realized I hadn't posted a Rainbow Rule slide on Bluesky yet, so I wanted to fix that.

Treat others as they want to be treated. If you don't know how they want to be treated, just ask them.

One of my kids is filling out some college application stuff and is filling out their parents' info. One question is:

○ Father
○ I have limited information about this parent

How are those the only options to answer this question? Doesn't even make sense.

Added fairy lights to some of the fall decorations.

I know it has felt off for the kids, having Trevor still be in Iowa. Hoping making the seasonal decorations feel a little more magical might help a little.

And hopefully Trevor will be moving here soon, it's hard not knowing when.

Don't get me wrong.

Things are bad.

But nothing now has not been imposed previously on marginalized populations within this very country. And if you are unaware of this fact, I very earnestly invite you to change that. Because it has long been this bad and worse, depending on who you were born as.

Intersex?

I could go on, and invite others to do so the comments, because I find myself more and more frustrated by those saying it's never been this bad, when what they really mean is "It's never been this bad for those like me."

The indigenous people forced off their lands into poverty & worse?

Disabled folks?

I think what’s most frustrating right now for Black and Indigneous people is waiting for the bulk of white folks to catch up.

At some point the “this isn’t who we are” and “I didn’t have this on my bingo card” has to end and y’all will catch up, right? RIGHT?

This is unbelievable.

Conversion therapy increases fatalities. It does the opposite of what treatments are supposed to do. We ban medical treatments that claim to heal while actually harming. That's not a free speech issue, it's a malpractice issue.

We are in such an upside-down world.

I was recently listening to a book where the mc has chronic pain from a knee injury and stated that they feel that if they could stab something sharp in their knee it would stop hurting. I've never agreed more with a statement, but for my back.

I have damage to my left shoulder blade and spine from child abuse that causes constant pain and some functioning issues with my left arm and leg.

Normally I can mostly ignore it, but occasionally something will happen and the pain becomes extreme. About 3 days into such an episode and fml.
