I realized I hadn't posted a Rainbow Rule slide on Bluesky yet, so I wanted to fix that.

Treat others as they want to be treated. If you don't know how they want to be treated, just ask them.

It really is that simple.

I've learned how to make bows out of paper, and now im hyperfocused on it.

If you need me, I'll be making more bows than we can possibly need this Christmas.

Cause they are so pretty, it's like magic!

Let's be very clear that one of the major effects of the CDC no longer recommending various vaccinations is that it becomes much harder for folks who still want to be—or want their children to be—vaccinated to get their insurance providers to cover those vaccinations.

Two coats of mod podge later and they hold their shape!

I was worried it wouldn't as well since it's not as layered as when you wrap yarn around agaon and again to do it. It is definitely a weaker structure, but I think it'll do well enough.

I tried a new ornament idea. Excited to see how it works out once they are dry!

I feel so bad for this TA and this is exactly why I was so picky about where I decided to work this year.

I knew I couldn't trust a public university, or any university not explicitly saying they would continue to be pro social justice and pro actual science/reality, to not do something like this.

And that's a wrap!

every trans person i see post about the OU suspension knows that the suspended target is trans & a grad student, & has an innate awareness that this is about purging trans employees. every cis person i see thinks the target is a rando professor & that this is about giving conservatives good grades

Last night, my kiddos asked if they could borrow my vehicle to go to the public library on Wednesday (their vehicle is MIA at the moment). Can't help but view that as a parenting win.

Remember to

This morning, the last graduate thesis I will ever write passed with no revisions, entirely because my advisor was beyond amazing in her edit suggestions beforehand.

I have a Masters in Educational Measurement and Statistics!!!

WOOHOO

I'm so relieved and so glad to be done.

FYI, if you've allergies that show up in chocolate candy, you can make yummy chocolate with honey and cocoa powder in a pot on low.

Stir in cocoa til its like thick melted chocolate. I usually use molds, but can't find them since moving. Smeared parchment paper works fine in a pinch. Freeze to set.

In mental health safety planning, we often ask if you can't find enjoyment anymore. But that statement can be difficult to position. So, I try to talk about what that might actually look like for different folks.

For someone who enjoys reading, that can look like not being able to find a good book.

You get it, Doc.

My body does not like Kraft mac and cheese... but it's so good though.

And also I deserve access to the care that I need in order to be comfortable in my own skin.
I'm not allergic to rice but am intolerant. Sometimes I'll still choose to eat a bunch of rice (cause free will) then the next day I'll be really groggy, foggy, and have an unhappy tummy and intestines.

Ingesting stuff I kmow I shouldn't is definitely a choice. You know, unlike being gay or trans 👀

I was asking Google "why do cats rub against you when you are peeing" and it wanted to finish the question with "on them"

Which, has me even more concerned about our society than normal

I made gnome wreaths.

I saw a video for making gnome heads out of yarn and they were so easy looking and adorable, I had to try.

Look how cute they turned out!!!

I used the rainbow icord to make a rug to catch excess paw litter for the cats litter box hideaway in the living area.

The yarn is a wool blend, so should hold up pretty well and is a good texture for catching excess litter pieces.
