May Oliver's most important piece. Power structures; religious, royal & government have always had an anti-critical-thinking strategy. People's empowerment requires good education AND cultural change: refusing some social norms, comforting lies & entertaining distractions & accepting responsibility.

It's weird, I've been saying this for years that people are so anaesthetised by crap TV, crap music, crap food and now crap Social media that gives a dopamine reward for living a virtual existence. And it's so pervasive, it feels like it must be a deliberate thing....

There’s a v cynical media and political blindspot in the Epstein shitshow. A feeding frenzy to get rid of Starmer while red-carpeting Farage into No10. Who is named in the files. As is Candy, Reform’s treasurer. With Bannon. And Brexit.
Don’t cry about abuses of power and then do nothing about him.

Whilst I’m not keen on everything this Govt has/ has not done they are a million times better than the 14+ years of inept self-servatives. I have been mystified by the constant hate towards Starmer. Dark forces at play somewhere.

Uncovering the underlying web of Russian connections, influence and agenda is of paramount importance. Thanks to @peterjukes.bsky.social for all his work so far. I worry that it's a long haul to get mainstream media to pay full and consistent attention and inform the wider public.
Thread starting with 🚨 TWO SHOCKING FACTS: Epstein was in direct contact with Putin, boasting of personal invites to St Petersburg. He co-owned Thiel’s Valar Ventures w/ Ehud Barak, backing Israeli surveillance firm Carbyne. 1/12

#EpsteinFiles "Prince Phillip is small fry compared to what we have uncovered." So many atrocities, it might be easy for this to be missed but it mustn't be. It's a connection for the evidence board. Is there any chance of the U.K. media picking up on this nugget nestled amongst the horrors?
Ask me again if I'd choose the bear.

Emily and Jon @newsagents.bsky.social do a great job of pulling apart Farage's manifesto, ideas and push for Brexit. I wonder why mainstream media don't do this? Hhhmmm, I'm puzzled, like Frankie. 😂

"Americans violently turning on other Americans and a slurry of lies falling from the mouths of the administration as anger continues at the murder of a protestor, by what are unquestionably now Trump's version of the brown shirts." @larryandpaul.bsky.social just getting started on 6 mins of clarity

Jonathan Pie, more swearily restrained than usual because the facts, told with his passion, already hits 100% of how appalling, disgusting and frightening the U.S. situation is. Unfortunately, this was "inevitable" from the moment they voted that (*insert JP's creative swear-words*) monster back in.

"Each issue we now face was made. Deliberately. Recently and by the exact people who are now loudly pointing at the rubble, but strangely reluctant to discuss who was holding the sledgehammer." Thanks, Bear, we must keep shining the light on this because M.S. Media will just 'forget' and move on.
There’s something weirdly convenient about discovering that Britain is broken only after you yourself have spent years running the place.

A coincidence, I’m certain.

(Warning: Swearier than usual).
Britain Is Broken. No One Knows How. No One Was There.
An amazing coincidence involving five former Conservative MPs who have shambled over to Reform UK. Weird.

Which of us can honestly say we haven't broken rules 17 times covering payments of one third of a million pounds? But it's ok, he says it was someone else's fault (presumably an immigrant as he blames them for everything else), he didn't mean to, is sorry & won't do it again. And would he lie to us?

This video gives a detailed explanation, which at 1st is reassuring but it's supremely worrying that everyone around him must know this already, so they CHOSE to keep him around as a 'useful idiot' to create chaos, $$$ and time for them to put their plans in place for what's to follow. USA, act now!
Trump could die or be forced to resign under threat of the 25th Amendment because of dementia.
I hope this is an accurate prediction.

I suggest that the Nobel Foundation add a future clause e.g. “anyone found to have attempted to pass on or distribute their prize will be deemed to have nullified their award and will be struck from the record" (+ legal words). I doubt they could apply this retroactively, but it would make the point
The Nobel Foundation makes yet another statement:

"Trump’s attacks on the ... existence of Nato his contempt for Europe ... & his ... support for Putin’s land grabs mean that the UK could negotiate better terms for re-entering the EU now than it would have done before the US president tore up international law & turned on America’s oldest friends"

The harm Brexit has done to business and the economy, a clear summary achieved in 2 mins👇. Here's my starter list of other harms: defence, security, alliances and international relations, global influence, science, research, and education, social unity and cohesion and impacts on mental health.
Ten years on, I’m not sure people voted for what Brexit has delivered.

The value of new trade deals? Around £14bn a year.

The cost of Brexit to the economy? Closer to £180bn a year.
