This is why the SNP will definitely be on my shortlist for the upcoming elections, and why Labour won't.

So it's not just me, there are fewer Scottish banknotes about! www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottis...

What is this nonsense, can we have proper notes again, please?
Scottish bank notes quietly phased out as Glasgow ATMs dispense English tenners
SUNDAY MAIL EXCLUSIVE: Our investigation found circulation of Scotland's unique currency has slumped by nearly a fifth since 2020.

A *huge* vaccine victory. I've been writing on this for years; Australia has seen remarkable progress in cervical cancer prevention with the HPV vaccine. I love seeing science triumph like this.
Australia recorded ZERO cases of cervical cancer in women under 25 for the first time since they started tracking the cancer in the 80s.

This is the power of vaccines.

The HPV vaccine is extremely effective at preventing cancer.

Viruses can be oncogenic. Get your vaccines and protect yourself!
newsGP - Australia set for world-first cervical cancer elimination
Vaccination programs have played a key role, and GPs remain ‘instrumental’ in boosting screening rates to reach the 2035 target.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

This was a wonderful read that had me tearing up in places. I hate the M8 at Charing Cross, and am sad to see the lid being shelved, but this is heartwarming story.
The M8 separated two childhood best friends, but it couldn't keep them apart forever. This is the story of how Robin and Brian rekindled their friendship, fifty years on.

My (hardback) copy of this turned up today and is absolutely gorgeous. Gunnerkrigg Court is still one of my favourite webcomics and I'm really enjoying these beautiful omnibus editions.
Gunnerkrigg Court Volume 3 Omnibus from @DarkHorseComics is now available! Here's a link to places you can get either edition from, Hardback and Softcover: www.darkhorse.com/Books/3011-7... and you can also pre-order it from my Topatoco store here: topatoco.com/collections/...

Is this sale happening in Britain? If so, and you're an Audible subscriber who hasn't read this book, get ye to yer device and download and listen to it. It's rather wonderful!
Heads up: If you haven't read A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking by @tkingfisher.com (and frankly that's criminal in the first place) and you're on Audible, it's part of the 2 for 1 sale right now. You won't regret it.

It has a possibly sentient, probably murderous sourdough starter in it.
