All over the world, people flock to big, diverse, cosmopolitan cities. And the people who stay back in the poorer, rural, more isolated regions use their vote to complain about it.
Completely unoriginal thought but: it's frustrating that the actual experience of living in large cosmopolitan multicultural city (London Uk in my case) is actually pretty dope, but a lot of politics is organised around this being a nightmare scenario that must be apologised for and avoided.

After a while, the man said "Isn't this knitting?"

"This, too, it's magic."

Saw a very cool and small win for the people today.

For months, NYU's healthcare system in NYC was trying to get people to enroll in Amazon One and give the company biometric palmprint data.

It seems they've backed off from
that after what I suspect was pushback.

An amazing thread by one of my favorite writers and people, Margaret has walked the walk for as long as I've known her- (since the ancient days of Steampunk World's Fair!)

She has so many wonderful details here, matching what I'm hearing from my family in Minneapolis, follow & support her work!
I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.
