Because they agree with it. They want this. We have controlled opposition.
I do not understand why Dems (or someone) are not broadcasting wall to wall montages of ICE thugs abusing our neighbors, abducting children, terrorizing US citizens, invading homes w no warrant, or murdering mothers. This should be a massive exercise in ISSUE SALIENCE driven by Dem elites.

I don't understand how the occupation of Minneapolis is not a full-blown, all-hands-on-deck national talking point, as it surely would be if a Democrat were in the White House and federal troops were in a standoff in, I don't know, some random conservative compound in Idaho

They are trying to whip people into a frenzy, in the hopes that someone will do something violent, or we’ll riot, and give them an excuse. It’s not a coincidence that JD Vance is coming tomorrow. Again, every journalist on the ground knows this, but we’ll see if their editors will let them say it.

There is one word in the English language that explains what Minneapolis is experiencing right now: tyranny.

We are under assault by a tyrannical government and its little jackbooted commandant. We are going to keep fighting, and we will win, stand with us.

@hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social Get you damn caucus in order!!
Democratic Leadership will never cut funding for ICE state-sanctioned terrorism without extreme pressure.

That’s why a coalition of creators (w/ a reach of over 20 million followers) & organizers are presenting them with an ultimatum if they don’t whip their caucuses against this DHS funding bill.

Major news from New York: A state judge just overturned part of the congressional map, potentially giving Democrats a chance to redraw it for 2026.

If this ruling is upheld, the Staten Island-based 11th District would flip from safely Republican to Democratic-leaning at the very least
#BREAKING: Justice Pearlman has ruled that New York’s 11th Congressional District is unconstitutional under the New York constitution.

He orders the NY Redistricting Commission to reconvene and draw a new congressional map by Feb. 6, 2026.

The is not a new deal - this is Trump surrendering. For now. They have always said that the US & NATO is free to do what it wants in Greenland from a military perspective. Trump said that wasn’t good enough because he needs the US to “own” it. So this is simply Trump backing down

Big news: A state judge just struck down New York's 11th district, which is a GOP-heavy seat in Brooklyn & Staten Island.

Plaintiffs aligned with Democrats had sued to get the seat struck down for disenfranchising Black and Latino voters.

If upheld, could mean a new map + extra seat for Dems.

Is it @startribune.com policy to refer to anyone confronting ICE as a protester? This obscures the nature of what people are doing. We're not protesting ICE. We're constitutional observers documenting human rights abuses by agents of the state.

WTAF?? Do you not give a damn about democracy??
NEWS: While Hakeem Jeffries has announced he's opposing the DHS/ICE funding bill tomorrow, his team is not whipping the vote. Several frontliners are expected to vote yes. There's a difference in leadership between personal vote decisions & unifying the caucus.

The Democratic approach to building back power is:

1. Avoid contentious issues;
2. Pivot all discourse to unobjectionable appeals like costs;
3. Leave moral opposition to citizens of conscience, who have lost all trust in the party, but hope they vote Democrat anyhow.

Wrong top to bottom.
