The perfect metaphor for Trump’s presidency is dead canaries. How many little dead birds do you need to see before you realise the air is toxic?
Petty cheating at golf is a window into his rotted soul.
I feel a bit sorry for George. He is taking the Reform party to task, after all. He’s just doing it to a party in Singapore with the same name. My working theory is that these people look at the bio pics and think they’re looking at Zia Yusuf so it doesn’t click that they’ve made a mistake 😂

Somehow, I don’t think George realises he’s wandered onto the Facebook page of the Reform Party in Singapore. A progressive, liberal party.

Nowhere near as insane as seeing a man with a £700 haircut presenting himself as a representative of the people.
Sight of children wearing ear defenders in school is ‘insane’, Richard Tice says
He said there is a crisis in the special educational needs and disabilities (Send) system, saying neurodiverse conditions are overdiagnosed.

As a Brit of Indian origin, I, too, have been called an fing Pki and told to go back home.

Shabana Mahmood doesn't hold a monopoly on who can empathise with people of colour.

I think Max Wilkinson asked reasonable questions that were met with unnecessary venom.

I'm horrified by her and Labour.
"I am the one that is regularly called a fucking Paki and told to go back home" says Shabana Mahmood.

"I wish it were possible to say that there isn't a problem here and... it's just extremist right wing talking points. But this system is broken, and it is... creating the division that we all see"
November 17, 2025 at 7:12 PM
Yes. Yes.
Asked about Tommy Robinson supporting her asylum plans Shabana Mahmood replies that "Tommy Robinson doesn't even think I'm actually English, so he will certainly not be supporting anything I've got to say."

But he is supporting what she's got to say. That was the point of the question

It wasn’t an asylum- seeker who told my British son to F-off back to Singapore. It was white British boys at a top boy’s school, where he was an exhibitioner. Apparently not being being Church of England meant he couldn’t be British.
I’d like to add my voice to those of all the others who were called P*ki, shouted at in the street and told to go home long before the far right and the media started demonising refugees. I have NEVER blamed them for racism against me. That Mahmood uses them in this way is despicable.

Short answer: No
After a year of sucking up, the PM can’t even get Donald Trump on the phone as he tries to destroy one of our most important institutions, the BBC.

Was the state visit really worth this?

If you have ever travelled around Denmark whilst being an “Indian family” - you will understand how their attitudes and culture could have shaped a cruel asylum-seeker policy that is now being used as a model by UK Labour.
This is a new low from a govt plumbing the depths of performative cruelty in hopes that the public won’t notice they have no answers to the real issues facing this country

A sensible, humane govt would focus on safe routes to prevent people making dangerous small boat crossings
November 17, 2025 at 1:27 PM
Don’t forget that Denmark came up with the idea of sending asylum-seekers to Rwanda. They passed legislation in 2021 and signed a MoU with Rwanda. The plan is currently on hold. We shouldn’t be looking to Denmark as a role-model
Hey Labour

Remember the majority of voters who believe in treating people decently and not stealing from those who've endured months and years of hardship fleeing war and persecution to seek a place of safety?

We're still over here 👋

JUST IN:

Trump now says Republicans can vote to release the Epstein files.

He never urged Republicans to support the discharge petition. He never demanded Mike Johnson swear in Adelita Grijalva. But now, after reports indicate 100+ GOPers are planning to support their release, he caves. (Griffin)

Trump’s attempts to sue the BBC amount to a SLAPP. (Against Trump any organisation is smaller, weaker and poorer.) In the UK the limitation period for defamation cases is one year. In the States it can be up to 3 years but he will have jurisdictional issues. It’s just harassment.

Sue them where? Is Trump going to sue them in the U.K. courts. If it’s in the USA does the BBC even have to particiapte? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Trump says he will sue BBC for at least $1bn over Panorama edit
The US president confirmed he intends to sue the broadcaster for at least $1bn over the Panorama edit of a 2021 speech.

Apologies for being a grammar-nerd but you’ve got some typos there. If Trump had sex with an underaged girl then it wasn’t sex, it was rape. If the girl was underaged then she was a child. Please use: If Trump raped a child … ?

One word that stands out in all of the Epstein emails that’s I’ve seen so far is “fun”. I feel sick. Sometimes the weight of being a survivor is heavy.

The soft pedaling language being used to describe the men in the Epstein files is enraging.

They didn’t “have sex with underage girls”.

They raped them.

Sex implies consent.

The survivors deserve better than this. Use the correct language. Say what these men did.
