A really positive meeting today for the West Northamptonshire Lib Dems, covering a range of themes. A big welcome was given to Harry, a former Labour Councillor who has joined the team. Thanks to everyone who came along. @libdemlocalgov.bsky.social

Liberal Democrats are fighting for a fair deal where mental and physical health are treated equally. It's time to supercharge mental health care in this country.

If you agree we need to fix mental health services, join our campaign today. #WorldMentalHealthDay

Today is World Mental Health Day — a time to reflect, raise awareness, and support wellbeing for all. This year’s theme, “Access to services – mental health in catastrophes and emergencies”, reminds us to prioritise mental health care, especially in times of crisis.

Liberal Democrat Councillor Dr Wendy Taylor, Chair of the LGA’s Health and Wellbeing committee, said: “Councils have long supported the introduction of a comprehensive licensing regime for all tobacco and nicotine products, including vapes."
