How does Kobo Plus work for authors? Pageviews like the 'Zon or some other payment structure? Since I'm testing it out at the moment.

Finally started my holiday movie watching (late for me). 1st new one this year was Hallmark's Christmas Angel Match, which is a solid entry. A novel look at the Christmas angel plot where the main plot WAS the angels & not their earthly subject matters. Think I'll rate 'em this year: 3/5 🎄

Look, I too thought turkey was 'meh' other than the crispy skin, but then I made my own the way I'd want it and discovered it can be fantastic in the right hands (apparently, my own).

Dry brine. Compound flavored butter under the skin, aromatics in the cavity. *chefs kiss*

Heck I'll eliminate 3 - ham, stuffing, and green bean casserole - goodbye!

(I love ham, it just has no place at my thanksgiving table - that's an easter option)
with charity and goodwill, i must here part ways with rolls.

I think this is an interesting theory that I had never previously considered but its a reasonable possibility.
Shorter version: people are using cancer in romance backstories because it’s less fraught than using covid: discuss

very different ends of the cinematic spectrum but they are as close as I could get

I rarely saw straight-up cranberry pies so I made my own. I found that the secret to a great one was an even better contrast. This is topped with a thick crumble of oats, toasted pecans, cinnamon, brown sugar and butter and it's heavenly against the tart berries.

This screams: what to wear to a cocktail party to drop hints to your wealthy boyfriend on what sparkly gift you want for Christmas
Sparkling like a festive bauble, Victor Stiebel’s early #1960s cocktail dress deploys a heap of embellishment not just in the form of beadwork at the bodice but a textured cloqué fabric as well. Sold via #AugustaAuction #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡

This #1890s tea gown comes with options. Worn loose it has the relaxed fit often a part of the ‘at home’ gown it was designed to be but there is also a more fitted choice, fastening the open robe at the waist. I’ll go for the looser version thanks @jbrightcollection.bsky.social #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡

For authors who don’t know this book club is a fake - it’s a FAKE! An AI fake.
There is a book club organization out there emailing authors telling them the club will feature their work for a "modest fee" for "branded materials" etc. Do not fall for this nonsense. You should never, as a writer, have to pay for such things.
