Recently got my blue belt. My Professor probably would have waited until I was making fewer dipshit mistakes, but I took gold in a 12-man bracket at the biggest local comp without giving up a single point, so I sort of forced his hand for the sake of competitive integrity.

Petr Yan does so many things I like in a fighter and I still spend the whole fight rooting for his opponent. I just think he's more interesting as a set of problems to be solved than as someone to root for.

My current focus of training on the striking side of things is feints and entries. Here's my thoughts.
I'm not looking to do anything fancy. My goal is to step up and throw a 1-2 on your nose. But before I'm in 1-2 range, I need to traverse kicking range. I don't love getting kicked. (thread)
