Oft said the only talent Dana White has is convincing people who get hit in the head for a living that they don't deserve more money for being the the thing that people tune in for. He's bad at fight scouting, bad at fight promotion, and really bad at picking stars.

Dana believes, on a fundamental level, that the UFC's success is a product of his work, specifically. Nothing to do with the fact that he had rich friends, no, it's because he's just that much of a shark.

On a cynical ghoulish capitalist level, I KINDA get it in the sense they found people who do it cheaply and, if it pops off, it's very digestible on all video platforms. But...it ain't popping off.

I remember stopping in Newton, before they moved to to Waterloo, when we'd move my sister back home from college in Iowa City. Still kicking myself for never walking over from the Culvers we used to stop at and take a look inside.

Sad to hear about the passing of the Michelangelo of Movie posters, RENATO CASARO. The Man painted so many iconic posters, specially in the 70s/80s: CONAN, TERMINATOR, DUNE, TOTAL RECALL, DANCE WITH THE WOLVES, BLOW OUT, FLASH GORDON, RAMBO, NEVER-ENDING STORY, and the list goes on and on. 1/2
