Obviously correct, and the public should ask how such a thing could’ve happened after their political leaders and media outlets won such a total and crushing triumph over the bigotry of the anti-racist, anti-austerity movement. It appears something funny was going on, there.

Impunity is an enabler of criminality. And again, I suggest that we spend some time reflecting on the radicalising effect it must have on British politicians to be so deeply and directly complicit in such monstrous, racist crimes. These people have crossed a threshold into a truly dark place.

The thing to note is that all the lads were boiling with white hot fury at old Jezza, but they will all at very least sit on their hands for Farage. Because the latter might be a fascist but he’s officer class, and he’ll listen to a lot important people who matter rather than disregarding them.

An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

yes I don't really see how you can go "oh yikes these people have changed their political views incredibly quickly, mostly because of what Very Online people talk about on social media" and also think that people who went from never talking about gender to calling trans women predators are....normal
I don’t like subtweeting people I consider online friends, but there is a subset of people who are very worried about the ongoing radicalisation of our political elite but won’t ever acknowledge the echoes with the radicalisation of their colleagues on trans rights
And few who are sympathetic to us, some who are friendly with me on here, will ever stick their head above the parapet
