When I’m president I’m implementing National Shut The Fuck Up Day, where no one’s allowed to break any news or hold any press conferences or do anything otherwise noteworthy, and everyone shuts the fuck up and we all chill out

On 29th January 1996, "Threshold", the Star Trek: Voyager episode where Captain Janeway and Tom Paris turned into giant space newts and had babies first aired. Since it's #ThresholdDay we aim to answer a burning question: did Paris and Janeway fuck? If so, how did they fuck?

he seems profoundly offended that women have the right to tell him no, or indeed be involved in anything. he is turbo-divorced and his turbo-divorcedness is a major feature of his politics, as much as the futuristic quiverfull nazi shit is. the idea that a woman might say no to this is anathema

Candace Owens released leaked audio from Turning Point USA in which Erika Kirk is heard giggling and cheerfully discussing attendance figures, merchandise sales, and performance metrics from Charlie Kirk’s memorial event just 11 days after his death...

@uzionmain.bsky.social the best thing about this xiv patch is that Vamp Fatale is so right obviously there but a good 90% of the fanart at the moment is people furious(ly)/horny for the Tyrant. The memes are excellent.

if you interpret respectability politics in US politics less as a moral calculus about who deserves support and more as a desperate effort to survive a bigoted, long propagandized, and extremely distractible political audience you'll view it more sympathetically

I’ve been tracking the public statements of some of the most prominent American conservative ‘intellectuals’ (e.g. Robert P George—I don’t count Vermeule, he’s an outright fascist) and it’s been either enthusiastic support or occasional objections to minor quibbles (e.g. moving too fast)
mr president sir, im a lifelong conservative and im just wondering which deeply held belief of mine today you would like me to dump in the trash no questions asked to defend your dementia-fueled insanity sir? preferably something ive been incredibly vocal about my entire life

My core memory of playing Fable II as a kid was leaving the tutorial area and seeing Albion open up before me, venturing forth with sparkling eyes, immediately finding a treasure chest, and opening it to discover the only thing inside was a single condom.

It’s because devs don’t want to punish gamers for doing content at their own pace. Imagine if you were actually on a timer for BG3 or Cyberpunk; most people would absolutely HATE that. There is a reason why Pathologic is a cult classic and not a mass appeal blockbuster.
games almost never manage the illusion of time well, in fairness, see Baldur's Gate 3.
V's desperate struggle to survive is compelling, as long as you don't remember that you spent weeks of in game time driving around looking for hallucinations to scan with your cybereyes
