AutoCorrect knows better what I want to say on a daily (sometimes hourly) basis. Oh well. Who am I to correct AutoCorrect?

In recent years i have discovered audiobooks. I've hit a huge bump though: english language books are hard to get. Especially for acceptable rates. Dutch libraries offer yearly membership for €60. This includes 10 audiobooks/3 weeks! It doesn't include an extensive choice of English, though. 🧵
This is the insanest tangent yet. Seemingly coherent (in his case), to suddenly mentioning "the smallest trucks" and pivoting to "the waters where we knock out boats". He doesn't glitch, he doesn't blink. But he sure changed planets in a nano second.
I swear this clip is not edited. Trump pivots from downplaying the killing of Renee Good and Alex Pretti ("two people out of tens of thousands and you get bad publicity") to in the very next breath claiming "we've been very tough on the waters," leaving Tom Llamas baffled ("the waters?")

one of the core values of the US Republican Party is tolerance and (sometimes celebration of) sexual violence. you don't elect a rapist to hold rapists accountable.
One by one, Europeans mentioned in the Epstein files who still hold political office are beginning to resign or are being forced out of office.

Meanwhile, ruled by an administration almost entirely made up of Epstein associates, the US carries on as if nothing really happened.

It's a pnzi scheme: offer the ppl money, with no intention to send the checks. Try to deal with worse public outrage when it comes to that point. But first try to say it's on its way, like the Epstein files. Next up: promising a $3000 check, perhaps?
WATCH — @isaiahrmartin.bsky.social : “Did you get your $2000 DOGE dividend?… You control the House, senate, and White House.”

MAGA LADY: “How could anyone work like that?”

ISAIAH: “Do you know how a bill becomes a law?” 😬

A thought and feeling i have: the US is past the point it was salvageable. It in fact is a dictatorial or authoritarian state. It has been for a while now. Going back to business as usual is impossible without painful sacrifices being made.

I'll elaborate this in a thread.

Give the man an extensive set of Lego and let him build whatever he wants with it, but don't let him near anything else.
He’s going to tear it down

I love everything about this story, not least the care and interest shown by the lorry driver.
In a remarkable story from Slovenia, a breeding pair of White Wagtails travelled all over the country in a lorry last summer, successfully raising young:

"You had me at Lelystad Airport"

The new Epstein files production features numerous allegations made against Donald Trump and others.

Meanwhile in NL (still a functioning democracy) a man who threw fireworks into a police car, setting it on fire (protesting immigration), has been sentenced to 12m in prison of which 4m probation. In practice he'll serve 4-6m. He'll lose his job, have a criminal record, & get rehabilitated after.
We would tend to lean Tim’s way on this one

He's rambling again. Seemingly coherent. Gets a sticker for remembering sunglasses goes with Macron. As it is a party favourite on repeat, points detracted and coherence downgraded.
Trump: "I spoke with Macron. He was not at that time wearing sunglasses. He said, 'No no Donald. I will not do this. You're asking me to double drug prices?' I said, 'If you don't, I'm gonna charge you a 25% tariff on your wines, champagnes, & everything else.' He said, 'Like I said, I will do it.'"

Yeah, you'll have many nice things without guns. Lower murder rates. You need universal healthcare too. Higher taxes. Gun reform is a great idea!
Trump: "With that being said, you can't have guns. You can't walk in with guns. You just can't. You can't walk in with guns. You can't do that. But it's just a very unfortunate incident."

The history of #Auschwitz is complex. It combined two functions: a concentration camp and an extermination center. It was used by the Nazi Germans to persecute different groups of people. This online lesson explains the most important aspects: http://lekcja.auschwitz.org/en_1/

Auschwitz was at the end of a process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred gradually developed: from ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

So, honestly, from me the US regime can get a very sincere GO FUCK YOURSELF. Leaving out contextual information on segregation and racism is not worthy of anything else. We will probably find a way to add context to the American war cemetery in our country. I'm disgusted.

I'm confused: they were innocent now? Not domestic terrorists? Violent and paid agitators? Or does he mean when an ICE agent dies? Because that will probably be from being in the line of fire of another agent, or pointing his gun at his own head. Not a protester using deadly force.
Comer: "If I were President Trump I would almost think about, if the mayor and governor are gonna be put ICE officials in harm's way and there's a chance of losing more innocent lives, then maybe go to another city and let the people of Minneapolis decide."

As a EU citizen, I'm quite horrified that it is legal to conceal carry. In a country with strict gun control (no one carries, except some police officers, mostly visible), we also have a very low murder rate (0.7/100.000, overall EU is 2.1, US is 5.8). Not having guns does lower murder rates. ->

If like me, you don't want to watch the brutality on video (I've seen video of Renee Goods execution, and decided not to watch this if I can avoid it), you should read this witness statement. As humans, wherever we are, we need to inform ourselves of what is happening in the US.
