I think Boomers are the ones who really gave up on the "kids are the future" mindset. They got so deep into building their own wealth and planning for their own retirement that they simply chose not to care about the future they were building, and that's reflected in their voting patterns.
Society was incalculably better when the primary ideology was "What's gonna be best for our grandkids in 50 years?" versus this bullshit "What's gonna be best for our shareholders next quarter?"
