I have some methodology nitpicks here -- there's a bit of "we went looking where we expected to find something and lo and behold, we found it" tail wagging the dog going on -- but the preprint was an interesting read and I wanna see where it goes

So I will not say that a person—a Fed governor!!—who claims that immigration has been a major source of housing inflation is "a moron."
Instead I'll say that he is "uninformed" about home-construction biz, median rent or purchase prices from immigrants, etc

Fear and denial are powerful emotions.
Most people have already had multiple infections and accepting the damage that’s been done is hard.
We’re also terrible at adaptation.
