I hear people just publicly and proudly being this fucking stupid and not caring and honestly the first thing I wonder is how or where you get socialized to not caring that everyone who knows anything about anything thinks you are a buffoon.
See also Curtis Yarvin's remarks in a recent Oxford lecture:

"Say what you want about MBS, he's quite an effective king I think in a lot of different ways. Um love the Ritz thing, the whole Saudi embassy thing, I don't know, but I mean he was a journalist". [Giggles]

FWIW I think this is more than just people treating Trump as a magic wizard. If Trump goes down here, and if this blows up, it takes down all of them. So I actually think people are discounting the possibility of real outlier scenarios that ARE actually in the collective's interest.
What choice did he have? Not being snarky here to any of you, but you all seem unable to believe that Trump lost a major political battle, and now he's going to just do what he always does: Ad hoc it all, and hope he can bully his way through it.
So, what rationale would Trump have for "supporting" release of the files if he could be implicated?
November 19, 2025 at 4:11 AM
i know people are taken aback by the content, but for me the shocker is his ability to use the word "insubordinate" properly in a sentence, which seems like a five sigma outlier for him.
Q: Why wait for Congress to release the Epstein files? Why not just do it now?

TRUMP: It's not the question that I mind. It's your attitude. I think you're a terrible reporter. It's the way you ask these questions. You start off with a man who's highly respected asking him an insubordinate question

Well my kids will never eat McDonalds again as long as I’m buying.
Trump: "You should've suffered a little while through Kamala. The good news is she had no clue. I want to give an IQ test to Kamala and Biden. Who do you think wins?"

Remember there is ALWAYS a parent worse than you.

I hate when my kids "prank" me by handing me stuff that they should throw away. Yesterday my kid did that with gum and I fired it back at them in between soccer games.

Just got the call from school that kid "seems to have gum stuck in their hair."

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the worm began to take hold.
“Baby, don’t worry,” he said. “It’s not a worm.”

Folks can get mad at me but his article is deeply misleading. It makes it sound like Trump pardoned him for attempting to solicit sex from who he thought was a 15-year old girl. He basically got time served for an ABSURD 1,306 days in pretrial detention, and still has to register as a sex offender.
A man pardoned by Donald Trump for his role in January 6th - he assaulted Capitol Police officers with bear spray & a metal whip - has avoided prison for child sex crimes because of the president’s sweeping pardon, despite pleading guilty to soliciting what he believed was a 15-year-old girl for sex
Trump Pardon Lets Convicted Child Sex Predator Walk Free
Andrew Taake walked free because of Trump’s pardons, despite being convicted of a child sex crime.

Today was a very stupid day but I have faith tomorrow will be stupider

Honestly the whole of charging misconduct law is messed up because the Court built it up to deal with indirect, more subtle types of discrimination and vindictiveness, not the head of the executive branch accidentally tweeting the entire country with direct evidence.
Onto Comey's vindictive and selective prosecution argument. This ¶ is super important, bc it gets to how inapt exist precedents on whether related investigators can be source of animus. A president is different.
November 10, 2025 at 11:28 PM
Uh I hate to break it to Slow House but you can't pardon state crimes, and all of the fake elector prosecutions involve state offenses.
The language of this pardon is extremely broad.

It includes “all United States citizens for conduct relating to the advice, creation, organization, execution, submission, support, voting, activities, participation in, or advocacy for or of any slate or proposed slate of Presidential
electors…”

Do straight men really forget anniversaries as much as they do in movies and tv shows?

This is absolutely unacceptable Bill. I need the full force of a man who thinks he is a thinker because he is rich doing I'm-rich-therefore-I-think things.
No no no, did he pre-cope in private? Not fair, we deserve at least 4 paragraphs where the feelings shine through
