ICE took someone in Waite Park today while they were delivering food to their family. ICE violently smashed their car on a residential street and then started pointing guns at children in the neighborhood.

Never believe the fiction that 340 million people have no ability to stop one man.

It's a matter of will, not ability. It doesn't require violence. It requires risk. Risking livelihood. Risking safety.

These are not small things, but the cost now is lower than the cost will be in 2 years or 20.

Handing SSA data to election deniers seems like more than a Hatch Act violation

Neighbors are still being torn apart, and we have yet to hear back on a plan from Governor Walz.

We are asking the community to call his office and ask for an eviction moratorium. You can leave a voicemail here: 651-201-3400‬.

The Minneapolis City Council unanimously adopted a resolution urging Governor Walz to enact an eviction moratorium as an effort to keep families together. Unfortunately, rent is due soon for so many families. 1/

I'm more worried that the midterms go smoothly, Democrats take back the house and the Senate...and then nothing changes than I am of Trump cancelling them. If he cancells them, people will panic. They will be forced to acknowledge the dictator, they're fine with a powerless congress though

The one and only time NATO has invoked Article 5 and waged collective defense was when they came to *our* aid after 9/11.

That's a fact, no matter how dumb our current president is. Just saying.
Trump: "The big fear I have with NATO is we spend tremendous amounts of money with NATO and I know we'll come to their rescue, but I just really do question whether or not they'll come to ours. Just saying."

Immigration officers are caught on video violating policy, training, and settled law pretty much every day. The administration just cheers them on. What makes anyone think they're going to implement any of these "guardrails?" They think de-escalation is woke.

This is just giving them more money.
Other aspects:
-de-escalation training for ICE and CBP officers
-training all law officers and agents, on Americans’ right to record any interactions.
-Provides line-item funding ($20 million) for mandated, independent oversight of detention facilities

Attention is rightly on the violence against immigrant communities right now, including deaths in detainment. But people who feel outraged at those deaths should also feel called to remember that all our jails are run in inhumane ways, and that this issue deserves the same outrage and action.
Damon Calhoun, 35, and Londell Nunn Jr., 34, were stabbed to death last week at Elmore Correctional Facility in Elmore, Alabama, where the homicide rate is more than 20 times the national average.

Head-in-the-sanders who don't want to risk even a day of effort to defend this democracy are just hoping to wait it out, without asking themselves what will even be left for *them* on the other side.

Your wealth, your retirement, your kids' futures - all of these depend on a stable country.
This is the most astonishing graph of what the Trump regime has done to US science. They have destroyed the federal science workforce across the board. The negative impacts on Americans will be felt for generations, and the US might never be the same again.

I will not vote to give ICE a single cent.

No more blank checks for a rogue agency that operates above the law, escalates violence, and erodes our most basic freedoms.
