This is why I wholly support efforts like Natifs and restaurants like Owamni in Minneapolis: it is a goddamn crime that American cuisine is so Eurocentric. Native North American foods - meat, veg, whatever - are so unique and different from European dishes and we should be more connected to them.

There are plenty of people living here legally - students, workers, etc. - who aren’t citizens but do need and are entitled to government services. Adding a citizenship question will punish plenty of people who don’t meet the definition of “illegal immigrant.”
The Census is meant to count all people living in the United States, not just citizens. President Trump’s threat to add a citizenship question to the Census would deny communities of representation and critical resources. We must strongly oppose these efforts.
