DHS is using explosives on people’s homes???

If you’re feeling helpless amidst the ongoing horrors being perpetrated by ICE… engage in mutual aid.

Donate to someone in need. Give to a community library or food bank.

You could also help Rodney Taylor, a disabled double amputee who’s been held by ICE for a year.

His story is often forgotten:
Help Rodney Taylor, a Disabled Double Amputee Being Held by ICE
Rodney has been in the country more than 40 years. He's in solitary confinement in Georgia, being denied disability accommodations and having his medical needs ignored. He must be released.

An uprising broke out at an immigrant jail in southern Texas on Saturday, with around 1,000 immigrants detained in the facility — many of them children — chanting “Libertad” and “Let us go,” according to an attorney who witnessed the event.
Immigrant Children Lead Uprising at Texas Detention Center
The immigrant jail, where many children are detained, has “horrible” conditions, including “putrid” drinking water.

If Whitney picks Jack today… which I think is a very real possibility… we should try to keep our composure.

I mean, the context clues are all sitting in yesterday’s episode.

We NEED Whitney in that villa… please don’t vote her out for making a mistake. #LoveIslandAllStars

Sean Duffy: "If you come to a protest with a 9mm firearm, that's fine believing in the Second Amendment, but you stand on the sidewalk and you hold your sign. You take that 9mm and you start to engage with ICE officers, and then you resist arrest -- listen, I don't want anyone to die, but ... "

Right now we've got an all hands on deck situation for scholars of con law, civ-mil relations, international law, IR and global order.

And at the same time we've got a crisis of the university and media models that support and diffuse their work.

It's like the Russian dolls of crisis.

Skare!
In Norway that thing is so common it has it's own name: Skare. Wet snow that's frozen so you can walk on it. When I was a kid our moms used to sew footwear for it; reinforced woolen socks. They weigh nothing, and you can run on top of the snow. Feels like flying.

Their work always cited properly (even if it’s absolute dogshit & always wrong). Their bills always paid. They don’t die sick with poor/no healthcare. This why I don’t give a damn about these 11th hour “we were wrong” declarations. Admitting being inept at best, antiblack at worst…isn’t contrition.

statistically speaking (and based off the articles) it is a near certainty that thousands of people currently patrolling the streets in Minnesota are people who did not immediately believe the warnings of the left 10 years ago. I see very little criticism of *them* on here
Bluesky idea: if people who didn't agree with you change their opinions so that they do agree with you, why not be happy that you are making progress - rather than complaining that they are "only just catching up"?
