I always argeu they should have canceled the Real World after Hawaii...TEK was when I noticed "oh people trying to use this show to get famous" before than it was just young people trying to be grow and be themselves. Granted RUTHIE was GREAT TV but after that season it became over the top

Ehh...yeah yeah MTV was racist at the start you only saw the black videos on THE BOX and FRIDAY NIGHT videos(we started stealing cable late) but MTV was the greatest conduit of black art to America for better or worse when they did started playing rap

People forget how MTV shut out marginalized/obscure artist (Bowie checked 'em for it)On one hand MTV was influential, while on the other they were quite possibly the biggest gatekeepers in the industry. Their burn out is just another cautionary tale of greed and corruption. ✌🏿

Meh. MTV of the early 80s, yes. But once that color barrier was broken MTV drove culture and news globally. It was a cultural phenomena. We raced home to watch video debuts. The MTV Awards. I watched the Berlin Wall come down on MTV. If Kurt Loder broke through your videos it was SERIOUS BUSINESS.

Or maybe, just maybe, what was obvious in 2024 was correct: Netanyahu fully backed Trump and would not deal with Biden because Trump would give him a free hand to escalate the starvation, bombing, and do full ethnic cleansing. Which he then did, until Netanyahu embarrassed him by bombing Qatar.
