UPDATE: Reached out to the Rev. Hannah Kardon, a United Methodist minister who was there that day and has been active in religious demonstrations at Broadview.
“They are making it clear that they are scared of prayer … it speaks the truth that what they are doing in that building is evil.”

As a "former gifted child" and a mother of a kindergartner whose dissertation work focused on the cultural anxieties invested in gifted children in America since the Cold War, there should be no testing, tracking, and segregating "gifted" children in kindergarten (or at all 😅).
in NYC this is like college applications for kindergarteners. it's hugely harmful to them and stressful for their parents and privileges people who can take time off work to fight with admins.
My wife is an elementary gifted ed specialist. The idea that gifted kids either don't exist or don't benefit from gifted education services is both wrong and harmful to those kids. Phasing out gifted programs is stupid. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/02/n...

Man, I'm sorry, but reading all these AI generated essays from students, it just sucks all the joy out of everything. It's exhausting, makes you into a weird paranoid cop, grinds you down, wastes your time, makes you feel like shit about everything.
Fuck this shit technology and all its enablers.

This is simultaneously not an especially radical theological belief and, politically speaking (especially in the U.S. context), quite a thing for Pope Leo to say. www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/266859/...

Instead of going to church, thousands (millions?) of Christians tuned into this message today... And they view us as the heretics.
Trump at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service: “He did not hate his opponents. He wanted the best for them. That’s where I disagreed with Charlie. I HATE my opponent, and I don’t want the best for them. I’m sorry.”
Again, this is a memorial service.

Being sick or in pain while pregnant is a misery already because you cannot take *anything* but Tylenol. I can't imagine going without even that, and so much already gets blamed on the mother's choices while pregnant.
RFK is trying to blame mothers from using one of the only things allowed to them to handle pain during pregnancy.
It should be obvious, but from someone who is aware of the literature: There is no observed link between Tylenol use in pregnancy and autism.
But there is significant data on all sorts of bad outcomes if pregnant women don't treat high fevers.

It’s cruel to women. Wildly offensive to people with autism. And generally offensive to anyone with a brain or a heart. He needs to resign or be removed immediately.
