Traditional French Canadian folk music teaches one thing: if you wanna brag about getting good head, then you better have an Irish bouzouki and some backing vocals for people who wanna join in

I installed Arch Linux last weekend.
It was mostly:
- spend 15 hours reading wiki articles to make sure I'm not missing something
- setup 3 partitions, run a bunch of commands on them
- choose network manager and boot loader
- Install KDE Plasma
- Install Steam
Done. Everything up and running

The STM maintenance workers have announced an end to their month-long work slowdown (buses and metros run at rush hour and late night only) -- which is very convenient for people!

But they're only doing it before a new government law forces them into arbitration -- which is bullshit.

On Saints Row we had a debug npc named Skinballs (lol) that was literally just four spheres wrapped in different shades of skin texture so we could test lighting for different skin tones during development. But teams need to plan for that kind of testing with intentionality, and not enough do.

The only correct way to release a new "Nth anniversary" version of a famous album is to get a bunch of modern artists inspired by it to make their own cover of each track. All those remixes of the original tracks are pointless and only pollute the discography

I actually enjoy Ian C. Esslemont's books, but they clearly don't have enough editing. I keep finding typos every chapter. In "Orb, Scepter, Throne", chapter 19 is written as "Chapter IXX".

Playing FF Tactics for the first time? Here’s a tip. Go to Mandalia Plain. You’re gonna spend 5 miserable hours having all your characters power up like goku next to a terrified bird or have them throw rocks at each other until they’re max level. This is the best game ever made btw.

In the game dev team size discourse, I think it's good to give more praises to people who've worked full time on a game than those who had limited contributions. The industry has a bad habit of "full time contractors", who are just as valid as permanent employees, but that's not what indies do
