It's definitely something I've seen done well in in-house engines, but it's good that a popular engine is finally handling this properly!

Let's make a retro arcade game but that requires 50 runs to unlock all the content the game has to offer

Finally, Daggerfall for Dusk

Puzzle Pirates ship don't run on a stamina bar, they run on how good a 10 year old can clear a Bejeweled puzzle

I'm 25% into Blood and Bone, and I'm enjoying it just fine. I just know that past the halfway mark, I'll start wanting it to wrap up

I honestly cannot stand the Ascendency series after Dancer's Lament, but I'm like, partial to the Novels series. They're mostly way too long and go too wide. I'm fine with them being more standard fantasy, it's just exhausting to spend 800 pages going almost exactly where you expect

CEOs after having to deal with actual physical heckling for the first time in 6 years: "You know, making everyone go back to remote is actually good for the economy"

Gallan does have biases. He thinks Kharkanas degenerated, the women were having too much sex, the nobility ignored the voice of the masses. He's also much more sympathetic to the people who would become the Tiste Edur than any other Tiste we've seen in the series

I don't think it's about memory so much as Gallan being forward about dramatizing events from page 1. All these things might not have really happened at the same time, but by making it a theater play rather than exact retelling, Erikson was able to fit multiple ancient events into one story

As someone who spent the entire Chimera Ant arc going "this is the best arc I've ever seen", anything less than that sounds like a miserable experience to be honest! It's so long and pretty slow. A manga can be skimmed over more easily at least. Good on you for making it to the end.

Which ant is the coolest?

See, that's where reading the manga helps. Killua does notice this, and suspects that Illumi's needle might have been responsible for locking away this memory

Good! I'm glad I got into Kharkanas this late because honestly I love this trilogy - despite all the stuff that upsets me lol - I would have been annoyed if I had had to wait since 2017.

Can't wait for this book to come out in Canada lol. I'll finally be caught with y'all on having read all Malazan and having to wait years for Walk in Shadow.

Really curious what that is. Reaper's Gale is probably the more complex one to me, I don't remember most of the storylines haha.

For each chapter,
"In this chapter, Gallan explains how the men be murdering and genociding, and the women be fucking. Once again, Renarr did nothing wrong."
Though we do need all the details for Hunn Raal's romantic scene.

It's a bit weird for people to suddenly be all concerned over privacy. Many people have been avoiding Gmail for over a decade for similar concerns, I don't know that Gemini could possibly be any worse. It's not like the previous tools were precise or contained entirely within your personal data

After 4 hours we learn that the C++ standard was 90% plagiarized from some trans woman's dystopian fictional abstract machine satirizing the outcomes of design by committee

God, is hbomberguy finally taking down C++ in his next video?

Pretty straightforward if you skip that first step and just run what the Installation Guide tells you to run
