I have zero desire to use a Waymo. For multiple reasons ✨starting with I saw how Goran Visnjic (Halle Berry’s husband) died in the series Extant✨ but also bc I hope to spend my money conscientiously for the kind of community I want to live in where the economy supports all my neighbors.

My GenX musical evolution was probably not the normal. It went roughly:
Hair metal --> grunge --> jazz fusion/Oakland soul.

I'll confess that I didn't know much Beatles (beyond the early singles that played on oldies radio) until college. My dad was a Beach Boys partisan who didn't own any Beatles and you could only hear music if you owned the record/CD and it never really occurred to me to buy them until college. 1/

Hard for me to say how this is different from Fox News's entire business model, except that it's less sophisticated. This is transparently and obviously bad — and Elon should ban these accounts — but the spirit here of trading rage for money is pretty much a lot of right-wing media.

13k comments on one tweet is a massive payout. All of the tweets follow a certain formula, so the content is likely automated using AI technology (e.g., AI generated images and text). Basically running it as a money printing machine. But for those in the US, it translates to low simmering rage.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.
