Its soooo overwhelming. I happened to be touring a Franciscan monastery on Monday after the senate caved and the peaceful chapel and gardens were a really helpful space to meditate and release the cacophony of emotions I was feeling. Here’s a pretty picture of the gardens before sunset.

I told my friend I voted for Jimmy Carter and she was like “You were six” and yes it was only a mock election in my elementary school but I took it very seriously and considered it my first election even though I decided based on hair style. Ford being half bald showed a lack of commitment.

Seeing some taking issue w Platner serving in the military even tho his family was wealthy so I want to point out that wealthy Americans serving in the military is a good thing—bc they are often the ones deciding our foreign policy & how we treat veterans & reservists. This is a great book about it.

At one point Seth Rogan’s character is undercover to get a story on a white power group and they’re making him get a swastika tattoo but they figure it out in the middle and he runs out (hilariously btw) and later makes the half of the swastika into a stick figure & later a “flotus” tattoo.

I’ve never heard of this 2019 movie but watched it on Netflix — it was cute and funny and a little naughty. If you like the show Platonic you’ll like this.

If you’re in DC visit the Museum on O St—It’s 2 huge brownstones that were combined & it has 80+
hidden doors & passageways. And you can buy most of the vintage stuff on display. It’s so fun & just like life when you think all the doors are closed there’s a bookcase that you didn’t know was a door
