I have no idea why conservatives are worried about Critical Theory and the Frankfurt School. I studied Critical Theory as an undergrad. I really wanted to believe in it, but I ended up totally disillusioned. It’s worthless nonsense.
This article makes clear just how much of the current right-wing attack on higher education is rooted in beliefs about "cultural Marxism" - a conspiracy that, as I've described, traces back to beliefs about the Frankfurt School and German Jewish émigré intellectuals. forward.com/opinion/4502...

Every authoritarian movement attracts wackos obsessed with various crackpot theories, because the social psychology of kooky conspiracism is adjacent to that of authoritarianism.

But the bizarre tangents shouldn’t obscure the core threat: They fear and hate free men and women.

Those of you making lists of Democrats that DOJ has arrested (usually via Kristi Noem's goons), I beg of you not to forget CA SEIU President David Huerta.

The pattern is the same, and in that case they charged a conspiracy which may be an effort to get inside SEIU's private records.
