This is the most astonishing graph of what the Trump regime has done to US science. They have destroyed the federal science workforce across the board. The negative impacts on Americans will be felt for generations, and the US might never be the same again.

ICE has kidnapped so many people from their cars that the city had to put out this statement. Let that sink in.
Vehicles that are abandoned due to an ICE detention and towed to the City's impound lot will be released to their owners or a representative at no cost.

Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

One of the things about people showing up to protest for the first time, that many, many armchair theorists don't grasp, is the effect of seeing what happens with your own eyes, then seeing how media covers it, and what is said ABOUT YOU by media and political personalities/office holders.

Facts. America in a nutshell is “we as a society can’t have nice things because Black people would also have them”.

Our entire history has been this, and it’s far past time for all of us white people to wake up to these facts.
White people have always felt a fraction of what Black people feel. That's the agreement they signed up to. Less safety so Black people have none. Less access to healthcare so Black people have less. Housing insecurity so Black people can't accrue wealth. All to satisfy their desire to erase us.
