ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.

So I’ve made it official folks: I’ve filed the paperwork to run for Governor of Alabama. It’s time to remind this state of who we are and what we can accomplish together.

Why go for the complicated explanation? He's clearly been living in fear of those files. Maybe there's something else, but the first-order explanation - that he's in them and it's horrible - makes sense until there's more evidence.
I continue to believe that what’s in the files is irrelevant, because he knows what should be in them. Backup possibility: he has been blackmailing people by telling them there’s stuff about them in there, and it’ll come out that there isn’t, and then they will be weapons free.
Man, whatever's in those files, it must be pretty horrible

Breaking character: I am open to the idea the media's coverage of Biden's age and mental acuity was fair or perhaps not even tough enough. But the fact that it was so much tougher than the coverage of Trump's (more severe) mental decline is damning and I can't see how anyone could argue otherwise.

They're running from it now. But the fact that Senate Republicans tried to give 10 of their colleagues at least $1 million each for nothing but a bogus press op captures the corruption of Trump II. In no other environment wld this even occur to the most corrupt politicians.

Earlier this month the AG candidate in VA ran 4.5 points behind the party’s gubernatorial candidate because of some offensive texts! “LOL nothing matters” is not actually sophisticated political analysis
E.g. on point 1: the consultant class fondly remembers the "6 for '06" plan of moderate policy ideas Dems ran on in their successful 2006 midterm campaign. But what actually caused the bottom to fall out of GOP polling was the Mark Foley scandal in September which has been basically memory-holed
1. Scandal politics win elections pretty often.

2. THIS scandal divides the GOP more than affordability or really anything.

3. If Dems want to win the fight (pry the files loose, rather than give up after Trump says no) they need to make a referendum out of it. www.offmessage.net/p/force-a-re...

Merrick Garland left a standing impression that no one powerful will ever be held accountable. Democrats should rectify that by saying, loudly and every hour, that people who act on illegal orders will face punishment by the next DOJ.
Dems can say: Are you really sure you want to trust Trump, of all people, when he tells you that what he’s directing you to do is lawful, and that you’ll be protected later as a result? That’s a tenuous position for anyone to put themselves into—and Dems should not hesitate to say so.
Awful: Trump's boat bombings are now being justified by a new legal memo that relies on WH's own determinations as evidence. Memo also says people can't be prosecuted for the killings. But that reveals WH knows there's legal vulnerability here, Ds tell me.
