I worked in Silicon Valley during the Dot-Bomb collapse. I could drive 101 from San Jose to Palo Alto and only see 3 or 4 cars on the way. I know scores of families that were destroyed when their stock-option pay became worthless... but was still taxed at full value. Good times.

Once again, a discharge petition had to be used to get the bill past Speaker Johnson, out of committee and to the House floor for a vote.

Last season Schwarber talked openly about how much it meant to him that his kids were born in Philadelphia. A fan brought a sign autographed by hundreds of people telling the team to re-sign him. When he saw it he choked up and asked to keep it. He was never going anywhere else.
