Anyway, it's very cool and awesome that he has so much cultural and political influence.

very convenient that the rich ruling class techbros solution to income and wealth inequality will be solved by letting them accumulate even more wealth

Doesn't it strike you as strange that the people who shout long and loud that America is a Christian nation founded on Christian principles are the very people who don't want Christ's teachings of tolerance, pacifism, and generosity codified in law?

When you consider he works for a capitalist Democrat PAC that also paid him to promote the system and only controlled culture war where Trump is the problem, he has literally no reason to change this behavior as he personally and financially thrives from it

Thank you, New York Times. I too agree that The Onion had the same level of cultural impact this year that Sabrina Carpenter did.

Bernie Sanders: "We need to be thinking seriously about a moratorium on data centers. You gotta slow this process down. It's not good enough for the oligarchs to tell us 'you adapt.' Are they gonna guarantee healthcare to all people? What are they gonna do when there are no jobs? Make housing free?"

Why is it that tech and AI boosters keep saying "you can't put the genie back in the bottle" when making arguments about AI's supposed inevitable dominance? Did they not read the story? The genie does, indeed, go back in the bottle. Maybe we should start there.

I don't know how the ROI on this kind of thing compares with (say) TV ad buys so I have no grounds to judge. Better criticism of Kat's campaign is just that she should get rid of the private option in her M4A advocacy.

Whenever this "should we spend funds on mutual aid that could be going into winning state power instead" controversy comes up in DSA the standard reply is that mutual aid should really be understood as an outreach / marketing tool, not as a replacement for welfare. Seems plausible enough to me

Bro, the Stancil tagged me multiple times to "dunk" on my opinions, sending his rabid fans in my mentions, leaving me to just block and mute all of them. He did this to himself. No coordination needed. Fuck Stancil.
I've been ignoring it bc there's only so much secondhand embarrassment I can take but Will Stancil has spent at least a week now attempting to get me personally banned off this website bc he thinks I'm the ringleader of a coordinated leftist harrassment campaign against him. deeply unserious person

You've gone from "this is ineffective campaigning" to "this isn't helping anyone" to "this is probably illegal" to "this would be bad if other people tried it, because it's hard to do legally" to "it's an inefficient way to help people!"

Your "core concern" has shifted wildly in just one day.
