I wrote some books, once upon a time.

Posting about stories, brain injuries, adorable animals, rhubarb recipes, nature facts, human rights, and how we can make this world safe and kind and good. You are precious to me, and I love you.

Hello new followers! Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. Some quick things about me:

I write novels and short stories for both kid readers and grownups. For example! I wrote The Girl Who Drank The Moon which has magic, a swamp monster, a Perfectly Tiny Dragon and a witch. bookshop.org/p/books/the-...

It's possible I finished a short story. I'm kind of astonished

Still might erase. Still happy with the milestone, either way. Brain injury recovery is a long, slow process and even imperfect wins are still wins.

I keep seeing Fanttik and Hoto tools on all my feeds and all over every Black Friday list so I asked @seanhollister.bsky.social to figure out how they just appeared from nowhere. Scandal! I mean. Who *hasn't* Petey Thiel accused of being the antichrist at this point?
In newly leaked audio, Peter Thiel admits he urged JD Vance to ignore Pope Leo XIV on moral questions — including the ethical development of AI.

He goes even further, branding Leo “the woke American pope” and suggesting he’s a tool of the Antichrist.

In a leaked lecture, Peter Thiel says he’s urged Vance to ignore the pope on moral questions — and simply pray for him.

An important distinction.
PSA: There are some accounts on here that are essentially religion news *influencers,* meaning they pump out viral posts that contain information that is *sometimes* accurate, sometimes *partially* accurate, sometimes purely speculative, and sometimes just…false.

Worth a read.

Also? I've been wearing a wedding ring for 26 years now. I do dishes every day and have never once taken my ring off while approaching the sink.
The excuse for Usha Vance's missing wedding ring is bizarre and preposterous. Look, she doesn't do dishes, so why pretend otherwise?

But this bullshit claim tells us a lot about how JD Vance is trying to humble his wife in public.

Why read past headlines: I fetched the receipts to show that the vice president's 33-room mansion comes with a full household staff, provided by the Navy.

So why did they lie? Because JD Vance is selling a pathetic tradwife fantasy.

We have to be able to thread this needle, and the only way to do so is with clarity and precision of language. We must make arguments that illuminate, separate and refine. Because people on the right will want to tangle, muddy, confuse, and capitalize on chaos.
Israel is engaged in genocide, it is a genocide materially assisted by the US, and AIPAC is the biggest lobby pushing for that material assistance to continue.

AND.

We need to proactively address anyone trying to exploit these realities and justified anger to advance or engage antisemitism.

Just read all of it.
I cannot overemphasize that Marjorie Taylor Greene, Carlson, and Fuentes see a 2028 path to victory that involves building an isolationist populist coalition that traffics heavily in antisemitism and exploits existing negative sentiment against Israel.

We have to be SHARP on the left right now.
