The UK version of “Project 2025” by the Reform party includes a British ICE, a concentration camp for 24,000 people, mass surveillance and withdrawing from refugee, anti-torture and anti-trafficking conventions.

It’s on their website. That’s how comfortable fascists are in the UK today.

MAGA is defined by its total lack of a theory of mind for its enemies, and the fact that DHS and ICE still haven't wrapped their brains around the fact that their opponents also are able to highly effectively use the Internet to message, organize, and communicate really highlights that.

The best thing that folks in the UK can do if they’re feeling inspired by folks in the US is to get connected with your local immigration raid watch and other migrant justice groups.

Labour has only been emboldened by the increase of anti-immigrant violence in the US - don’t let it get any worse.
Once again tapping my sign: ICE exist in the UK 🚨 They have had arrest powers since 2000. This government - not a hypothetical future one - is working harder than ever before to raid homes and businesses.
Immigration Enforcement raids at the highest level in UK history
Record number of arrests and raids of illegal workers across the UK including 187 raids in Northern Ireland leading to 234 arrests.

The defining strategy of all modern, right wing movements has been to reduce the likelihood of critical information (in both the meanings of that word) penetrating the view of info-poor people.

From gutting local papers, to controlling TV news and Facebook news.

Creating opposition to the actions of the state or a political cause is rarely about changing the mind of 'the other side'.

It's about making time- or information-poor people aware of the horrible shit. The 'undecided centre' is rarely neutral. It's underinformed, consciously or subconsciously.

I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.
